| Exhibition in IST 2007 | ||
In the framework of IST 2007 mobile summit, there has been held a corresponding exhibition with the participation of several IST projects as well as telecommunications-involved industrial and commercial companies. |

The visitors had the opportunity to have a real VoIP over DVB-RCS conversation with their destination of choice, using the equipment and the infrastructure provided by Gilat and Satlynx. Moreover, in order to prove the efficiency of servicing interactive real-time applications via GEO-satellite links, a real-time connection to a set of video-cameras mounted at the roof of Gilat premises in Israel was setup. The cameras could be remotely controlled from the exhibition via suitable software and the system provided the operator with a full surveillance capability of high precision and resolution |

During July 2007, VIVALDI organised jointly with other projects and participated in the “International Workshop on IP Networking over Next-generation Satellite Systems” (INNSS’07), that was held in Budapest following the annual IST Mobile and Wireless Communication Summit. |

| SatLabs | ||
At 22nd November 2007, VIVALDI partners participated in the SatLabs Workshop on DVB-RCS activities that took place at ESA premises in Estec, Netherlands. The aforementioned workshop provided another excellent opportunity for exchange of ideas with experts in the same and/or neighbouring fields of interest with VIVALDI. |
